2. Pledge of Allegiance/Invocation.
3. Presentation: Youth Week by Richard Tozer.
4. Call to the Public: This is the time for members of the public attending in person to comment for a limit of three (3) minutes per person regarding matters not designated for a public hearing. Members of the Board may not discuss items that are not specifically identified on the agenda. Therefore, pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.01(H), action taken as a result of public comment will be limited to directing staff to study the matter, responding to any criticism or scheduling the matter for further consideration and decision at a later date.
5. County Administrator and/or County Supervisor’s Current Event Summary: The County Administrator or Board Member may present a brief summary of current events summarizing recent occurrences without any discussion or feedback from the remainder of the board. The Board will not propose, discuss, deliberate or take legal action on any matter mentioned in the summary unless the specific matter is already properly noticed for legal action, and then only at such time as that matter comes before the board itself pursuant to its meeting agenda. A.R.S. § 38-431.02(K).
6. CONSENT AGENDA (Discussion and possible action on the following items):
e. Approve City of Tucson, High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Grant Agreement # HT-23-2927, in the amount of $4,580.00 for support for the task force facilities, $2000.00 for facility improvements, $480.00 for support and $2,100.00 for utilities, effective January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024; a reimbursement grant and budgeted item - Sheriff.
f. Approve City of Tucson, High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Grant Agreement CFDA Number 95.001; COT # HT-23-2927A in the amount of $17,756.00, for overtime, mobile and office phone communications and supplies for Investigator, effective January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2024; a reimbursement grant and budgeted item - Sheriff.
g. Approve Intergovernmental Agreement with the State of Arizona through the Department of Public Safety, Agreement Regarding Border Strike Force Local Support, in the amount of $552,437.00, ($183,837.00 for personnel and up to $368.600.00 for 4 new fully equipped vehicles), effective from January 1, 2023 and shall expire on June 30, 2023, a reimbursement agreement - Sheriff.
h. Approve to accept Arizona Department of Homeland Security, Operation Stone Garden grant agreement # 220411-01, OPSG Overtime-Mileage, in the amount of $109,471.00, effective April 3, 2023 to March 31, 2024, a reimbursement grant and budgeted item; authorizing Sheriff to sign the agreement - Sheriff.
i. Approve to accept Department Of Homeland Security, Operation Stone Garden grant agreement # 220411-02, for the amount of $15,500.00, for OPSG Equipment, effective April 3, 2023 to March 31, 2024, a reimbursement grant and budgeted item; authorizing Sheriff to sign agreement - Sheriff.
