NOTICE AGENDA SPECIAL MEETING/PUBLIC HEARING OF THE LA PAZ COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS Pursuant to A.R.S. §38-431.02, notice is hereby given to the members of the La Paz County Board of Supervisors, and to the general public, that the La Paz County Board of Supervisors will hold a Special Meeting/Public Hearing, open to the public, on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the Board of Supervisors Meeting Room, located at 1108 Joshua Avenue, Parker, Arizona.

1. Call to Order.

2. Public Hearing regarding Truth in Taxation, pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17107, in conjunction with the hearing pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17107, to hear taxpayers in favor of or in opposition to the proposed tax levy increase of $2,118,658 or 51.32%.

3. Discussion and possible action to approve the proposed primary tax levy increase of $2,118,658, and direct the Clerk of the Board to mail a copy of the Truth in Taxation notice, a statement of its publication, and the result of the governing body's vote to the Property Tax Oversight Commission within three days of this hearing pursuant to A.R.S. §42-17107(A)(5). (REQUIRES A ROLL CALL VOTE OF THE BOARD).

4. Public Hearing regarding Fiscal Year 2023/2024 La Paz County Budget.

5. Discussion and possible action to adopt Resolution No. 2023-14, for the adoption of the Fiscal Year 2023/2024 La Paz County Budget.

6. Public Hearing regarding Fiscal Year 2023/2024 proposed tax levies.

7. Discussion and possible action to adopt the proposed Fiscal Year 2023/2024 Tax Levies.

Recess as the Board of Supervisors and convene as the Jail District Board of Directors

9. Public Hearing regarding Fiscal Year 2023/2024 La Paz County Jail District budget.

10. Discussion and possible action to adopt Resolution No. JD2023-01, adopting Fiscal Year 2023/2024 La Paz County Jail District Budget.

Recess as the Jail District Board of Directors and reconvene as the Board of Supervisors
